I applied online. I interviewed at Databricks (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2025
Interview
Quite chill, not very hard algorithmically. Most of it was focusing on good code design and engineering skill rather than very difficult algorithms. Max BFS/DFS. Make sure you're comfortable talking about the work you've done for the engineering manager round.
HR screen: standard behavioral questions, advised to solve leetcode hards to prepare for the technical stage
Technical 1: Leetcode hard (most difficult technical interview I've ever taken, even compared to FAANG internships - be prepared to solve and optimize a leetcode hard)
Technical 2: DSA and optimization (medium level, focused on complexity and efficiency, Pretty standard data structures/algorithms question with some reasoning and optimization + logic walkthrough)
Recruiter reached out, scheduled call, then phone scree, 2 techs , 1 sys design, debugging, manager round., total 5. LC question, lc tagged helps so do that i guess, and learn around those concepts and patterns would be helpful,
recruiter call then technical. recruiter was very nice and asked general questions on resume, and they followed up for the next interview pretty fast. technical was one round back to back, not too difficult
