Question 1
The discussion is talking about my background and my motivation about applying for the position.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Danone (White Plains, NY)
Interview
A couple of phone calls and an in person interview. I spoke with the recruiter and hiring manager via phone first. They then invited me for an in-person interview. The in person interview had a case study, panel interview, presentation, and meeting with HR.
External recruiter reached out and organized with internal Dannon HR. Some of the worst experiences I've dealt with in HR. Talk about setting a poor reflection on the company but should have seen this as a sign of what was to come. Went onsite in White Plains to meet with HM. The culture seemed non-existent, way too quiet for the morning, I even asked if there was a meeting going on but no. The few lost souls I saw on the way to conference room looked like poor shells. Simply put they looked miserable. The whole vibe seemed way off. Think Stephen King's the langoliers. Looks like a corporate office but no one around and eerily too quiet. The HM also seemed somewhat unqualified for the role they were in, and many questions being asked of me were basic entry level marketing, which also seemed off since the role was not entry level. I left feeling underwhelmed and never heard back which turned out to be a good thing. Insiders in the industry say it is one of the worst places to work, and apparently they know this and lure you in with higher vaca days and salary. Buyer be ware!
