I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
I applied online at the request of a friend. I applied because I knew the manager at the local store. Although that really didn't factor in to my hiring decision. I was called in for an interview and ended up interviewing at local store I applied to.
I applied online. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Garden City, NY) in Jan 2014
Interview
They called me in for an interview and it was pretty simple: the department manager read the questions from a paper basically relating to past experiences in work, school, life, etc. If you get through that, there's an online assessment that is based on ethics and morals and asks questions about what would be appropriate or inappropriate to do at work or if it would be acceptable to smoke pot on your break. If you pass that, you get an interview with the assistant manager or store manager which is similar to the first interview. The hiring process for me was very slow, however, as I was offered the job at the end of January and did not have my orientation until early March.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Butler, PA) in Jan 2016
Interview
I had two interviews on the same day, one with the Sales Support Manager and then with the Store Manager. They were both very friendly and very enthusiastic about their jobs. They asked you basic interview questions, and asked about your involvement in sports and other questions of that nature. It was very easy, more like a conversation then an actual interview
