Interview
Very simple straight forward. Asked about my knowledge of sports and other experience and how i would sell certain merchandise. Very nice and was more like a conversation than an interview

Question 1
They ask you what sport you would consider yourself and expert and ask you why you feel that way.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Ladera Ranch, CA) in Nov 2014
Interview
First they have you take an "online survey" called The Orion. This is a timed multiple choice quiz to which they say "there are no right or wrong answers." The key to passing is to make strong decisions that are polar in opinions. No wishy washy it depends stuff. And obviously moral questions should be addressed with the greatest "good" response. After this, there is a 15 minute interview with the person who would be your immediate manager. Basic questions- 3-5 regarding your customer service experience, 3-5 regarding your involvement in sports and or your chosen position being applied for (if you're going to bikes it'll be about bikes, if you're going to golf it'll be about golf, etc). Very standard. If you pass that, they'll call you back for an interview with the store manager which is mostly formality; you'd have to seriously blow it to not get hired at this point. No drug testing or background checks unless your position will be in management.
