I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Utica, MI) in May 2018
Interview
It was pretty easy. They called me in, I had an interview with the assistant manager and then a day later I had a second interview with the store manager.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Natick, MA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Applied online, and regional recruiter emailed the next day to set up a phone screening. Had phone screening on a Friday, went well, and set up an additional meeting with the recruiter the following week for more in-depth conversation. Had second conversation and was told there were quite a few internal applicants for the position. I was also asked if I would be willing to drive to Connecticut to meet with a District Manager for an in person interview. I said absolutely, and was told I’d get an email the following week with an appointment. After each of the phone screenings I sent thank you notes, and said how excited I was to move further in the process. I didn’t hear back by the following Friday, and I sent a follow up email. I was told the DM was on vacation and I should hear back the following week. Again I did not hear back, and I sent a follow up email. This all took place in February and I never heard back. I’d have felt better about the process had the recruiter nit said anything about an appointment, or telling me I’d hear back after the DM’s vacation. If you don’t think I’m a good fit, just say I’m not a candidate. We’re all grown ups here, just be honest, I can handle it, and if you (the recruiter) can’t maybe this isn’t the right job for you.
