I applied in-person. I interviewed at Cushman & Wakefield (Ámsterdam)
Interview
Because I had a similar postion previously at C&W they had approached me via LinkedIn. Then we met in the office and had a semi-formal interview talking about the role, what I would do and whether I would fit.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cushman & Wakefield in Jan 2018
Interview
Started off really well, they seemed very interested. Then as I got deeper it was clear that they already had a candidate and I was not actually a contender but more of a necessity to show they interviewed others to seem diverse.
Update: Found out that the hiring manager hired someone through her “personal network”. The timing also puts the new hire in salary negotiations when I was just finishing my first interview. After all the talk of diversity and inclusion and they haven’t changed. I’ve read about these actions, but now after experiencing it myself, it’s heartbreaking. Just knowing they were okay wasting my time to meet their “diversity interview” quota is very telling of their culture.
