I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cushman & Wakefield in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process was pretty standard, initial introductory call, 2nd round, and then design test that you have two days to complete, and invitation for a 3rd round. Everything went well, but after submitting my design test I was unfortunately ghosted. No update, no feedback, not even an automated rejection email thanking me for my time. I know they're a large corporation but it's very slimy to have someone spend two days on a sample project for the interviews just to never hear back. I sent polite follow up emails as well. So if you interview with them don't expect to get any feedback if you aren't hired. In the end I found out through an inside source that they claimed to go with an inside hire, not sure if that's true or not, but if so, they just wasted all the interviewees time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about a time that you had to deal with difficult feedback for your design choices and how did you handle it.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cushman & Wakefield (Saint Louis, MO) in Sep 2025
Interview
Basic interview process, first spoke with a recruiter, then HR, then the design team. After 3 rounds I was given a design test to complete in 48 hours. They ended up not contacting me after that so I guess I did poorly. It seems unprofessional to ghost a candidate especially after 3 rounds of interviews and a design test, but I guess I don't matter much in the grand scheme of things. The design test involved updating a power point and an indesign document that was essentially an RFP
Everyone I spoke with during the interview process was extremely friendly. You start with a simple phone call with HR to make sure you're aligned with the job and ask any initial questions. From there you move to a more senior design manager to speak about your design experiences and go through a portfolio project. If moved to the next round you'll do a design assessment. If they like you're work, you'll be moved to the final interview to speak with 2 managers.
