I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale in Sep 2021
Interview
Had two rounds of technical interview and one managerial interview and cleared all those rounds. Process was smooth until final round.
In final round the senior level leadership members came with all non-technical interview questions. mostly negative scenario questions like
*what if conflict happens with manager.
*what if system fails in PRD
I gave pretty honest, straight forward answers as a team player, and achieving the common goal of deliverables with optimized solution.
They pretty much think themselves as a psychiatrist and the interviewee as a patient.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale
Interview
I was contacted by the Recruiter, had a manager round where Manager and a tech lead asked basic questions more like introduction and if I am suited for the role. I was then called to schedule a technical round which had 4 technical staff, my feeling was that Costco is way too outdated and the questions were very basic, there were none System design or scenario based questions and a lot of questions were asked which the technical team themselves didn't know the correct answer, one of the interviewer was very rude who seemed to have only bookish knowledge and laughed at a correct answer. I would not like to work with a team like that who is not keen to do things in more modern way.
