Initial behaviorial interview/ resume screening with boilerplate questions like describe one research project you are passionate about, etc. The next interview was a technical interview by the hiring manager and another team member (90 minutes). ML and statistics questions.

Describe an end-to-end ML workflow. Describe DNN forward & backward pass, optimization, momentum, etc. Describe random forest. Explain cross validation and why you do it. Distinction between population and sample, reason for sampling, explain confidence intervals.
It's a typical interview process with HR calls, HM meetings and several follow-up meetings with team members. It's pretty intensive to have all these meetings within a few days, but all the interviewers are very friendly to talk with.

Take home data science challenge followed by a series technical interviews and a presentation. They are also interested in prior agronomy knowledge. You have two days to complete the challenge.

Interview
The interview was over Zoom. The interviewer first asked me about my background. Then talked about the position that I am being interviewed for. Then asked me some question regarding algorithms. They said they will contact me within few days to inform me about the results. But, they never contacted. They didn't even respond to my follow-up email.
