Applied online. The company took longer than indicated to get back to me (as promised in the confirmation email). Started with extensive screening (45min) that already raised some interesting points. Overall 5-6 step procedure:
1. Screening
2. Online tests
3. Culture fit interview
4. Technical interview with a case study on site
5. Meeting with the hiring manager (first time meeting the HM)
6. Possible final interview to be decided.
It was apparent in the screening that being as cool as them and fitting with the 'culture' has the highest priority. Certainly little attention to diversity. My impression is that this is a very bad workplace for introverts or people willing to push for things against the organisational inertia.
Still, got a call a few days later that they want to proceed, yet the recruiter became very defensive when asked why the hiring manager comes so late into the process. Busy man, not availabe to properly meet the candidates, likely indicating the way of working at the company. We agreed to follow up by email with some questions, which I did. After that they treated me in a very modern (cool) way - needed to figure it out that since they stopped replying to emails and texts they must no longer be interested in proceeding. Certainly not a professional handling of the process. Very negative experience.
