Applying was as simple as going to the hospital I chose to work at and obtaining one of the paper applications from management in the kitchen. I filled it out and waited for a call back.
The interview was held on sight, in the dining room of the cafeteria with the kitchens director. It was casual and we just discussed interest in the field, my prior experience and my willingness to learn/grow, as well as a base pay.
They will low-ball you. Starting wage for this company as a dietary aide is between $8.50 - $9.00. Don't settle for less than $8.50.
More than anything, my interview was character based it seemed.
