Compass Group Catering Assistant interview questions

Applied online to work as a staff member on the race-days. Thought it would be interesting to experience working at a busy event and learn something. Got invited to an interview a 7 days before race week. Had the option to take on different jobs and left us with the choice of what we wanted. I chose a customer service facing role. Received my job card the day before the orientation. Told I would be litter picking. Declined the next day when they couldn’t transfer me to another role. My advice: Don’t be open about the work you want to do. Stick to a single choice.

Interview went well, but coming to think of it they were desperate for staff as I was desperate for job. It was a very casual interview. A lady leave due to maternity leave.
