Columbia University interview questions

This position was for the undergrad school, Columbia College. The interviewers were friendly but very disorganized. My first round interview was postponed at the very last second (scheduled for 4pm, I received an email at 4:05pm asking to reschedule). They would say something like "expect an update on the 12th" and then the 12th would come and pass, the 16th would come and I'd follow up to no response, and then I'd finally receive a reply on the 19th saying "please expect an update by the 26th." I'd then get an update on the 31st. The second round of interviews involved three separate one-on-one calls, where they were all friendly and asked normal questions but there was a lot of overlap and it felt repetitive. At one point someone admitted "no one sticks around here very long" and made no attempt to justify that or defend the organization (lol). Anyway after those four interviews I think they eventually decided to hire someone else (good luck to that person) but I can't be sure because I never heard from any of them again—not even a form rejection.

No interview, for my application just needed to submit written statement. Written statement was about 3 pages long regarding why I wanted to work in research and what I could contribute to the campus.
