initial 30 minute phone interview, then a virtual interview with a panel of city year staff. I didn't make it past that point but I believe there is one more interview after that followed by reference and background checks.
Average interview
Application
I applied online. I interviewed at City Year in Apr 2021
Interview
I received an email from the Chief of Staff after I submitted my application, informing me that I will meet with the Managing Director of Impact and for me to pick a date and time to meet with the MDI. 1st round of interviews (screening interview) done on Microsoft Teams, the interviewer/MDI asked several scenario questions, IE, (what would you do if one of the corps members developed a glass half empty attitude and it started to affect other members? Type questions) Interview lasted approximately 1 hour, and I was told that I would receive an email from the Chief of Staff (1 week after interview) informing me if I will be moving on to the second round.

Question 1
How would others describe your communication style?
Applied online and heard nothing back. Was disappointing considering I am very qualified and have plenty of City Year experience. To not even get an acknowledgement or an email back speaks volumes.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at City Year
Interview
The first round is an interview, then an in person, followed by a round table panel, then a 1-1 with the executive director. This seems intensive, but it also allows you the opportunity to really make sure the fit of the role is correct.
