In my 18 years of career this is the most un-professional interview that I've ever taken. I was interviewed for Citibank's Retail Loyalty program, which I applied back in Aug' 2020. Early last month, I had a first round with a person who claimed to be a peer in the Team (not a Manager), he was in a very political attitude by wearing "Trump 2020" Campaign T-Shirt and didn't allow me talk for the initial 30+ minutes and then I had a chance to briefly explain about my experiences for less than 5 mins, he then went on to continue for rest of the hour about the Team and the Company. He didn't ask any relevant questions about my experiences or roles.
In middle of the interview in WebEx video call, he smoked and that was the heights of unprofessionalism that I saw in this interview. It was quite intimidating for a candidate of color when the interviewer was wearing "Trump 2020" campaign t-shirt during the interview and his smoking during the interview was pretty clear that he neither took the interview process seriously nor the candidate.
It's so unprofessionalism for Citibank to put such a person as their face with external world, hope Citi stops these sort of unprofessional behavior in future.
