At first, the interview went great — all the interviewers were friendly and polite. The interview itself wasn’t difficult, but then strange things started to happen. The recruiters just disappeared without giving any feedback and didn’t respond for several weeks, even to my follow-up emails. Later, they started passing me from one person to another, each saying someone else was supposed to give me the feedback.
In the end, they disappeared again for several weeks, and today I received an email saying that the position I applied for no longer exists. I’m absolutely certain that for a company like Citi, such a process is unacceptable, and showing this level of disrespect toward candidates — after both they and the interviewers have spent several hours and multiple interview rounds — is simply not okay.
