I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cisco (Bengaluru)
Interview
The interview had no surprises. The first round was a technical interview touching upon the basics of networking. Osi layers and tcp / ip suite is always a good starter. Then there were questions about difference between routing and switching and also about some protocols. Then there was the manager round where I was briefed about the nitty-gritties of this role. The questions asked were only puzzles. Then the last round was a group discussion which was a test of our soft skills. That's pretty much it!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Cisco (Nueva Delhi) in Jan 2015
Interview
screening, team, individual questions, very standard approach although sometimes more focus on tech quals than on if Id be a good fit. Nothing special here, nothing to see. Finally got to hiring manager, then found out they'd just laid off the last person. Seemed like they might be looking to decrease costs by hiring more junior employees, I don't know, that's what I heard.
