I applied online. I interviewed at Cintas in Jul 2021
Interview
Interview process was relatively long. I had 5 different interactions:
1. Applied to Cintas for Sales Rep position. Sales Manager set up informal 10 min phone call to talk to me about the position and get to know me.
2. Sales Manager moved me forward to interview with Sales Recruiter. 30 min phone interview asking deeper questions about my experience and ability to sell.
3. In person interview at the Cintas location with the Sales Manager. Basic interview questions where manager had to write down my responses. Manager talked to me about position and walked me through their hiring presentation.
4. Received a call that they wanted to move forward with me. Went into the office for an all day ride along with a sales rep. My day consisted of listening to phone blocks, talking with multiple people about the position, and going on a ride along with sales rep to complete warm leads and cold calls. During my day, I had an in person interview with the Sales Director. More basic interview questions and questions based off of my personality/drive. The day was from 8am - 4pm.
5. Received a phone call to set up an interview with the VP of Sales. Phone interview lasted around 30-45 min. Phone call went very well and I was confident I would receive the job after my interview process.
I received a call from Sales Director a few days later saying that they were very pleased with me and thought I’d be a great fit at their company. However, they did not offer me the position I applied for. They offered me an SSR position to get more experience in learning their products before I move to the sales rep position. I was disappointed because I had the qualifications for the sales rep job on their application. Going through 5 separate interactions with the hiring team, and getting the vibe from them that I would received the job I applied for, made me confident I would get the job of the sales rep position. This company seems like a wonderful company to work for, however, it is very difficult to receive the job you want if you are an outside applicant. Many of the positions are filled through internal applicants (which is great!). I just wish I was informed about them wanting me for an entry level position before I spent time interviewing 5 times with important people within the company.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Tell me a time where you were told no, and how were you resilient in overcoming that.
Tips: Make sure you come prepared with questions to ask the interviewers. Every interview, they asked me if I had any questions for them. Good things to ask about is their company culture, training programs, and weekly sales schedule. They are big about their company culture, so make sure you prepare ahead of time. Dress business professional for ride alone and in person interviews! You would rather be over dressed than under dressed. I wore a pant suit w/jacket each time.
Over the phone process that had three interviews. The first one was very easy and was a get to know you kind of call, the second interview was more in depth about the position and who i am as a candidate. The third one was the same as before just with a higher up ranking individual.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cintas (Tampa, CO)
Interview
First phone interview was fairly informal. They lead off the interview asking about what excites me about Cintas. They asked about strengths, a recent project I’m proud of, and a few other standard interview questions
