I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Chevron in Oct 2023
Interview
One pre-interview info session with several other candidates over zoom. There was then an interview with a software engineer also over zoom. Went over behavioral questions, general CS questions, and talked through a solution for FizzBuzz.
Straightforward single interview and offer. Brief resume screen beforehand and preemptive call, but nothing very intense. Great recruiter. I don't think they are trying to make you fail, just competency checks to make sure you can learn.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chevron in Sep 2023
Interview
They mostly asked about my past experiences and projects and also a couple of STAR interview questions like how did I resolve a conflict. Then there was an easy programming question at the end.
