I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Austin, TX)
Interview
The interview process was fair, but thorough. It was clear they were looking for the best candidate. Questions were behavioral based as they were looking for specific examples and how you handled each

Interview
One 30 minute phone screen. Recruiter was nice but did not leave enough time to ask questions at the end of the call and was abrupt. Next round was panel interview with 3 people. One interviewer did not show at all and they didn’t even acknowledge or explain the absence. The other thing I found odd was the actual manager for the role wasn’t part of the interview process at all. If someone was being hired on my team, I’d definitely like to meet them and have a say in their hiring! The interviewers made it clear that they wanted this role to manage their chaotic team, lots of silos, duplicative work, people not talking to one another, multiple meetings, etc. this was corroborated by discussing the company with a person who already works there. One of the interviewers interrupted responses a few times.

Really old school questions like ‘Describe your strengths and weaknesses.’

Interview
Recruiter reached out for a pre screen interview. Then scheduled a one on one interview with the hiring manager via zoom. Felt comfortable and at ease during the whole interview process.
