I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Columbus, OH) in Sep 2024
Interview
Prior to the interview, I was informed that behavioral interview questions would be a key part of the process, with a focus on the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to discuss relevant experiences. I prepared thoroughly for this format, structuring my responses accordingly.
However, during the interview, the questions were unstructured and random, rather than following the expected behavioral format outlined in your communication. This approach made it difficult for me to provide the detailed, specific examples I had prepared. Additionally, the lack of structure didn’t allow for a clear demonstration of my skills and experiences through the STAR method, as I was led to expect.
While I understand that interviews can be flexible, I was surprised by the deviation from what was communicated. As a candidate, clear expectations help ensure I can present my qualifications effectively.
