I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I was interviewed by two managers and it was not difficult. As long as you give a detailed response to their questions, you'll be hired. People come and go in that company which can be good for some but bad for others.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Oklahoma City, OK)
Interview
The interview process was long but easy. I first took a background check which was pretty quick, then interviewed with operations manager who asked a few questions and then I interviewed with back office manager who also asked a few questions and I was then offered the job.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (Richmond, VA)
Interview
Basic online skills assessment (reading graphs, etc.) followed by a one-on-one on-campus interview with a very basic case study and some behavioral questions. Then a super day with 2 case interviews and one behavioral. One of the cases was very basic (some algebra, a question just to see if you can think logically) and the other was probabilistic and more advanced. It presented an unintuitive question and then they worked with you through the problem.
