I applied through other source. I interviewed at CarMax (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2019
Interview
I was introduced to the company through a boot camp. The interview process began with the regular online application, which includes a personality test, IQ tests, and background information. Two days after, there's an online statistics test to be finished in 20 mins. The test is about reading tables and basic analysis, which is usually done in Excel. After this, there's another phone interview with an analysis question about choosing where to build a new store from two sites based on Bayesian probability.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Choose the location for a new store from two sites, each with different budgets and expected revenues. There's a chance of a bridge will be built to reach one of the sites, and revenue will be different. Then one can choose to build a store or resell the land to reduce the loss after knowing the bridge connects to which site.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Brooklyn Park, MN) in Jul 2019
Interview
Phone interview, then in person, Cliche "tell me about a time when you....." questions.... drug test on site. Honestly if you have a pulse you will get this job. They are desperate for people because the work environment and culture is terrible like high schoolers. Gossip, drama. Baaaaaad.
