I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CarMax (Henderson, NV) in Sep 2024
Interview
This was not a bad interview process after the application you can expect 2 phone interviews and an internet speed test before a decision is made. The recruiter I spoke with was very pleasant and informative on the role itself, expectations, compensation and the training process.
Easy and straightforward interview. It includes a role play where you present a car to a customer. Right after passing this stage you are drug tested on site and a GM interview follows where a facility tour takes place and you’re given an offer.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CarMax (Kennesaw, GA) in May 2025
Interview
There was an initial phone screen that lasted 20 minutes followed by a video interview that lasted 45 minutes. Both interviewers were extremely professional yet personable. Most of the questions asked were behavioral in nature as the interview was centered around knowing how you would respond in certain situations. At the end of the interview I was asked to briefly memorize customer account details and then respond to a customer who had an issue with his account. I haven't been contacted yet with an offer or rejection, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed the interview process.
