I only had one interview with another director. It lasted 30 minutes and there were no relevant questions, nor any technical or people management tests. It was just open-ended behavioral questions.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One in Feb 2026
Interview
Expectations for the interview were communicated clearly by the recruiter. First it was a 1 hour case study, then a power day with 4 consecutive 1 hour interviews. I was informed that I was being moved to power day within an hour of finishing the first round. The materials provided were helpful in preparing, and I was impressed with the interview process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
Interview
Invited to insight day and then taken through two "interview prep" sessions including a coffee chat with an analyst and a conversation with the recruiter. Super day: 3 45min interviews back to back, two seniors and an associate (all but one were quite cold). Most technical part was the case study but you just had to walk through your thought process when evaluating a company based on it's financials. Technical interviewee also grilled me on aspects of my resume, asking questions that I didn't really understand but keeping it flowing as a conversation (on my side) helped.
