I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Sep 2015
Interview
Very clean, fast, straightforward process. Great recruiter. Online quiz, phone interview, in person 5 interviews. The people, the hiring manager are great and make the entire process very positive. The process for online screening is somewhat lengthy and requires certain preparation.

Question 1
Behavioral questions, technical questions about the projects I did, case question (quantitative analysis of a business case)
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Oct 2015
Interview
Got direct onsite, had three interviews in their headquarters in Mclean. Consisted of Behavioral,Technical, and Case.
Behavioral is more a personality fit, if you are studying for this interview it probably won't help.
Technical is easy if you are from a rigorous CS program, if not studying a book is enough.
Case is a test see how you think logically, the problem isn't hard, my advice is to go as slow as possible, you have plenty of time DO NOT RUSH!!
Most importantly be yourself! If you aren't yourself you won't get the job!
I had a great experience interviewing with Capital One, the travel accommodations + the people you meet + the office is something that I fell in love with.
Good luck!
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Oct 2014
Interview
3, 1-hour interviews, behavioral, business case analysis, and technical. The interview was very smooth, The technical interview asked me questions mostly about basic data structures and how to use them for simple tasks effectively. The behavioral interview asked me about how I had solved problems in the past in different ways, structured mostly in a "tell about a time when..." sort of way. The business case was more confusing, the interviewer expects you to ask questions to reveal the next part of the interview but they dont help you very much, and if the interviewer hasnt explained the problem clearly then you are stuck.
