I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capgemini (Bengaluru) in May 2018
Interview
I went through a recruitment agency.
The first round was telephonic by 2 ladies and one of them seemed to have used her mobile phone to conference the other lady and me. Unfortunately she was in a bad network region so the call kept dropping off. They had called me from mumbai office.
They were testing my skills in use cases and what would come in brd. They had really poor English speaking skills( surprising as they are business analysts and this is one of the key skills required). They were quite professional which was the only feel good factor about this round.
The second round occurred after a week. I was told it's face to face however it turned out to be video conference. This round was the worst experience in my entire life. It was supposed to be around 1:30 PM. With Bangalore traffic, I was about to leave my house by 12 pm and I get a call from the recruiter to hold off as the person interviewing me is busy and can interview at 4pm. I mean, seriously, how busy can one be that they communicate this late? My first cringe moment. The interviewer came after good 15- 20 mins late. Didnt introduce herself. I had no clue who I was talking to. She kept looking at her laptop right from the beginning of the interview, had pathetic communication skills and kept grilling me around test cases and use cases( I thnk as half the time I failed to understand her). Seems like thats all she knew. N number of cringe moments there. Seems like she was seeking some specific answer but her poor communication skills killed it all. I couldn't understand her questions half the time.
She was on and off rubbing her face with both the hands like she was frustrated speaking to me and suddenly very abruptly said she is done asking questions. Absolutely unprofessional behaviour in a company like capgemini.
With a 12 years of experience, I started feeling who are these people interviewing me when they themselves had a ton of improvement to be done. Very very bad experience. Would never want to work with such unskilled force. Gladly I didn't get an offer either.
