Clear gave me a forty-five minute phone screen followed by a ninety minute coding test. Despite telling two recruiters and the hiring manager during the phone screen that I was only interested in a lead role, and despite crushing the coding test (which I could have easily cheated on but didn't), I was then told that, while they "really liked me", they wanted me for a different and lower paid position. The hiring manager gave me the test so it seems unlikely they could have filled the agreed-upon position, and more likely that they were just leading me on to see if I had the programming chops and would somehow accept the lesser role.
