I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CBRE (Newport Beach, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
Not technical at all--all about personality, fit, and long terms goals. They want to know that you plan on staying and will contribute to the culture as a team player. A lot of producers do stay at the firm for a long time (decades in many cases).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How did you get into commercial real estate?
Why do you want to move to CBRE?
The interview with CBRE consisted of only one round with the team I applied for. Asked questions on past job experience and why I want to work for CBRE. All behavioural questions.
Asked a lot of background information, and also asked question regarding views on property market and capital market etc
Some of them seems not quite related to the job
Maybe the interviewer is testing the candidate about the sense to the property market

Question 1
How do you think the capital market will be in 3 years?
My interview process with CBRE was thorough and multi-faceted, consisting of five rounds: a group discussion to assess communication and teamwork, an aptitude test for numerical and analytical skills, an in-depth interview with a business leader to gauge alignment with strategic goals, a team interaction to evaluate fit within the team, and an essay writing exercise to test English proficiency and critical thinking. The comprehensive nature of the process highlighted CBRE's commitment to finding candidates who are not only technically skilled but also well-suited to their company culture.
