This was the most confused and unprofessional interview process I've ever been through. There are VERY few positions for my line of work, and even fewer applicants, and virtually none with PE & masters degree in engineering , +10 years experience, so I was sorta surprised when my EXACT role appeared in a job search. The position had been open for 4 months, and the recruiter called me within a day after getting my resume. We had a good phone interview, they checked my references, and got me in for an in-person interview within the week! So, first, they did not make it clear what building I was to go to, nor did the receptionist seem to have a clue, so arriving 10 min early turned into 10 min. late once they figured out they had sent me to the wrong place. I had a really good interview that lasted an hour, and afterwards, the recruiter indicated that they would probably be calling me that afternoon with an offer (it was a Friday) or Monday at the latest. Well those two days came an went with no word, then Tuesday.....then Wednesday....so finally on Thursday I emailed the recruiter to ask what was up. Still no response. Finally, on Friday, he sends me one sentence, saying that they are not moving forward with hiring for the position?!?! WTF???? Now, two months later, the position is STILL open, still un-filled, and will remain so, because apparently they're waiting for Jesus Christ himself to apply.
