Interview Process
The overall interview process was smooth and well-organized. The 3 rounds were structured, the interviewers were knowledgeable, and communication from the HR team was timely throughout. No complaints on the process itself.
The Offer Stage — Where It Fell Apart
The concern arose at the final offer stage. During initial discussions, the HR team indicated a CTC of approximately ₹Y lakhs. However, the formal offer letter presented a structure that deviated significantly from this figure.
To bridge the gap, a one-time joining bonus of ₹X lakhs was included — but with a full clawback clause if you leave within 2 years of joining. This is worth noting carefully, as it is presented as an add-on over and above CTC but comes with strings attached.
When the offer was declined, the HR team followed up multiple times attempting to reopen negotiations — which added to the impression that the initial number had been used as an anchoring tactic rather than a genuine commitment.
Advice to Candidates
Ask for a detailed salary breakup early in the process — before committing time to multiple rounds. Do not treat any verbally indicated CTC as confirmed until you see the written breakup. Pay close attention to how joining bonuses and variable components are structured.
Verdict
Good company to interview with for the experience. Just go in with eyes open on compensation discussions.
