I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at British Council (Ciudad de México) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied through the website and got an invitation only two days after. I went to their headquarters in Mexico City and had a panel interview with 3 members of their staff for about an hour. They were kind and respectful. Questions were complex, be prepared to provide loads of examples about your professional experience.
After the interview they provided me with an project management case which I completed the best I could. Unfortunately my experience in the field was limited and therefore I got the rejection email a few days after.
I requested feedback and they were very kind as to give me a call and explain in detail my performance and why I wasn't chosen. Apparently they were impressed but my experience was more focus on business development rather than educational projects.
The salary was low but benefits seemed really good.
I would highly recommend people to apply for positions at the BC as the process was enjoyable and interesting.
