I applied for the position in May 2018. I was shortlisted and invited for an Interview 10 July 2018. The interview was the standard interview process for the position. At the end of the interview, I asked what the timeline for feedback on the position would be. I was informed they were interviewing for the rest of the day and feedback would be given to candidates 10 working days following the interview. It has been almost 2 months since the interview. Despite a number of emails to the relevant people requesting any feedback. I have since heard nothing. In my opinion this shows a poor etiquette for a company that claims to value equal opportunity for Job application and interview processes. I have applied for a number of positions at the British Council as I have wanted to work for the British Council for some time. However after being ghosted after a rigid interview process, I no longer feel that I would like to work for a company that has these type of job application and interview practices.
