I applied online. I interviewed at British Airways (Londres, Inglaterra) in Apr 2017
Interview
Applied online, submitted the online tests then a couple of days later received an invitation to an assessment day.
On assessment day I arrived about 45 mins early, they then take you through to the recruitment area where you will spend the rest of the day..
They did a short presentation then moved into role plays, one was a team role play and the other 1-1
After this they separated the group and one group got sent home and the other got through to the 2-1 interview.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at British Airways (Heathrow, England) in Apr 2017
Interview
Firstly had to fill out an online application and then I was sent an email to complete the online assessment; luckily I was successful in this and was invited to Waterside (British Airways Head Office). I found the that because I am from Brighton (East Sussex) it was easier for me to book myself in to a local hotel and then drive the rest of the way in the morning.
When I arrived I had to fill out a form stating where you tattoo are on your body and in small groups you were taken in to rooms to have a height measurement, do a reach test and sit in the brace position.
After sitting in the waiting area for a while we all got taken to a room to watch a presentation and be given a brief outline of how the day was going to go. For me personally I had the group exercise first followed by the one-to-one role play. Spent a lot of time sitting around and then got split in to two groups, one of which was told that they had not be proceeding any further and the other (which I was part of) got told we would be progressing to the interview stage. Within a week I received an email telling me that I was once again successful; and being given 24 hours to respond to the offer.

Question 1
Give an example of a time you had to break the rules/disregard orders from managers?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at British Airways (Heathrow, England) in May 2017
Interview
I've applied online one evening and woke up to find an email with an invitation to attend an interview the morning after!
After picking a day, I started doing my prep.
On the day of the interview, I arrived about 45mins early but that was okay because I had a chance to meet some lovely people (it is absolutely crucial to talk to your peers of the day and make quick rapport because you will be observed from the moment you'll enter the building) who made me feel at ease.
Altogether, there were 3 stages to the assessment: measurement/reach - all to do with health and safety. This was really easy! Afterwards, we got called one by one to do a role play activity where one of the assessors pretended to be a dissatisfied customer. After that came the group activity - also problem solving related. Unfortunately this is where my day came to an end. Advice though, I'd say there are no wrong or right answers to whatever problem you're given to solve - just try to remember to act as a team and not an individual. I haven't had a lot of experience in group interviews before so I think this is where I'd gone wrong.
There were about 30+ of us and only about 8 people got through to the final stage so I didn't even feel that upset after all.
Try to enjoy your day because it really isn't as daunting as you might think. The BA HR team are so friendly and positive, they'll immediately lift your mood and make you feel welcome.
Some other tips I gained from today through either observing others or myself:
- If you have piercings (other than ears) don't make the mistake of forgetting to take them out.
- Let other people talk
- Compliment eachother
- Be positive, don't say anything that might upset other people or their views.
