I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing (Renton, WA) in Feb 2010
Interview
I initially applied for the job online and was not selected for an interview. Fortunately I knew someone at Boeing Capital who was able to have my application reconsidered and secure me an interview.
The interview process was straightforward with approximately 5 preselected/structured questions that took up about half the scheduled interview time. The remaining time consisted of a relaxed discussion with lots of questions back-and-forth between me and the 3 panel interviewers. The interviewers were somewhat formal and took extensive notes, but remained very cordial and easy to talk to.
Two to three weeks later I received an offer from Boeing Capital (but no contact otherwise) contingent on me passing a background check. The check consisted of a drug test and a battery of reference, academic, and credit checks conducted by a third party. Upon completion of my background check, my offer was finalized and I selected a start date.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you made a mistake at work or in school.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Boeing (Mesa, AZ) in Dec 2008
Interview
I received an initial phone panel interview where I was asked questions where I was to name the situation, the actions I took and the outcome. They really focused on gauging leadership and problem solving. The people on the phone were warm and inviting.
The second interview they flew me in and asked about 5 basic questions, "Tell me a time when..." Again it was easy to be engaging, even though there were 6 people in the room. I was then given a site tour so I could see the facilities and their operations.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing in Nov 2009
Interview
I received a phone call and an email setting up the interview process. Apparently they were interviewng multiple candidates that day. The questions were all behavioral type questions which are typical of Boeing. They didn't really question my skills that I had on my resume but more or less asked about experiences that I had in the past.
