I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Boeing (Long Beach, CA) in Jun 2008
Interview
The hiring process is very structured, with a standard set of questions asked based on the level of the position you are applying for. I applied to an entry level position, and was asked basic questions like, "Why Boeing?" Boeing is an engineering company, so it would be wise to understand the basics of manufacturing if you are applying to a position that is higher than entry level. Some big buzz words right now are Lean, Earned Value Management, Common Systems, and Project Management Best Practices. If you have any experience with any of these, you may want to list them on your resume as Boeing does utilize a keyword search when downselecting for interviews.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Boeing in Aug 2009
Interview
Had a phone interview first with the hiring manager and someone else. I was notified about three weeks later that they wanted to meet me in person for a second interview at the company. Travel arrangements were made and I was flown in for the interview. I was asked if I wanted to stay in the city overnight so that hotel arrangements could be made ( I preferred to come straight home after the interview). I was introduced to everyone and had an interview with two managers. The interview was behavorial based.
