I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Big 5 Sporting Goods (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
Online Application. Store Manager Interview. Regional Manager Interview.... I find it very important to always go in person and physically hand the GM your resume. I did this and was asked to fill out the Online Application. The next day I went back in with a 2nd resume and The GM proceeded to have a quick interview which went sucessfull. I was then Scheduled to meet his boss and from there was hired:) Smile! Be honest and positive!.
One on one interview with the district manager. I was asked questions about my resume, why I wanted to work at Big 5, and if I was willing to float to other stores to gain experience at each store location.
I applied online. I interviewed at Big 5 Sporting Goods (Las Vegas, NV) in Aug 2022
Interview
It was easy, just need to have experience about sporting goods. You just need to be your self and sell your self to them. They have asked me if I have experience on sports and also selling guns.
They are always in need of a Manager Trainee because their employees always leave and find a better job due to the low pay. So all you have to do is dress well for the interview and just listen and you basically get the job.
