I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (New York, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
Contacted via LinkedIn from recruiter. Within 2-3 days a phone interview was set up.
During the interview I thought I was interviewing for one position, apparently recruiter was interviewing general qualified candidates with placements in several areas. That was a bit of a downside in my end since I thought the position was exactly what was advertised. Wish the transparency for the opportunity being open under several areas was disclosed.
Interviewer asked about past experiences, and willingness to commute to NJ (I’m from LI so that was a negative) The idea of a shuttle bus after arriving NJ station was a perk shared. Salary requirements were asked, so that was nice to discuss the parameters day one, in case the offer in mind was low ball, this would be a perfect time to confirm my decision and relay to company EOD. Went pretty well, and HR seemed pretty transparent, and of course keeping the company l shown in the most favorable light.
