Bed Bath & Beyond interview questions

Initial phone interview led to a face to face interview at one of the stores. Relatively easy interview. Make sure you did your research about the company before applying. They WILL ask you why you applied and why you are a great fit for the company. My interviewer wanted to know how I would merchandise the store. 1 thing to note. The posting for Store Manager isnt exactly for store manager. They dont direct hire store managers. They do directly hire Salaried Department Managers which from there you can advance up to a Store Manager. This was clarified at the end of my interview. At which time we discussed salary. Which I was informed that it was highly unlikely they were able to match my current salary.

Spoke with a "manager" as soon as I filled out the app. He said someone would call me. One week later I called the store and asked about the application. wAs told someone would call and they did. wENt in for a 1:1. And then was told I would need to return again to speak with the general manager. someone did call 1 week later, I went in and spoke with store manager. he then told me he would check my references and may call me again. A few days later I received a call to see if I was willing to start the next day.
