I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (Ottawa, ON) in Nov 2013
Interview
It was a fairly average interview, was told that customer service is greatly important in this business and that the customer always comes first. I was asked about my education background and my availability and how comfortable I am with interacting with various people. Was told about the store managers open door policy, and that if I had any questions about anything or wanted to talk to them when hired, it would be no problem.
Was offered the minimum wage at the time, as I didn't have much experience.

Not much in the way of an interview when I started with the company. Applied in person and was called to inform me of my rate of pay and if I would accept the offer.

the application was submitted three times without a call back. they do not look at applications unless you are referred by someone else. Finally I was referred by someone and they called me back immediately. The HR manager and store manager was very professional.
