Interview
When you first go into the store to pick up an application, you will be invited to an impromptu interview with a manager. This is usually a department manager who you will end up working with a lot if you get the job. They'll ask standard questions based on your application (work experience, volunteer experience, education, etc.). They'll ask if you're afraid of heights and if you can climb a tall ladder and lift boxes. As much as I'd love to tell you to insist that you can regardless of your fears, this is a huge part of working at BBB (regardless of the position. Part time associates, cashiers, and district managers all get on ladders. Don't assume you can be an exception) and I've personally worked with many employees who couldn't overcome their fear of heights and became a burden to the store rather than an asset. So if you cannot, without a doubt, climb a 22' ladder, be honest and accept that his isn't the company for you.
If this first manager likes you and believes that you would be a good hire, they'll set up an interview with you and the store manager. They are the final say in your job hunt journey. They'll ask most of the same questions as the first manager. They want someone who has good people skills, can communicate effectively and efficiently, and can become a valuable employee to the store for more than a few weeks or months. BBB is a business built on teamwork, so management is not interested in someone who will jump ship as soon as they're done with training. In return, they'll train you in a large variety of tasks, help you grow to become one of the best employees anyone could ask for (make you very marketable), and support you through all of your endeavors. This is a team built store, so your team will support you.

Interview
Applied on Snagajob.com, got a call the next day from the store manager. He asked me to come in and fill out an in-store application that day, I did so, had an interview with him that day, then another interview the next day with another employee of the store. Each interview was about an hour, most of which was spent teaching me about the job's expectations and how the store runs and so on. There were more questions than I listed (I can only list 5 questions and answers here) but you can get a general idea of what they're looking for. They ask a few "how would you handle xyz" questions to see what you know about customer service, the standard "why do you want to work here," "what can you bring to our business," etc. Nothing impossibly hard. I am saying I did not get an offer only because my second and final interview was yesterday and they will be interviewing a few more candidates before making a decision on who to hire, however based on my conversations with each of the two people who interviewed me they seemed to like my experience (about 9 years of working in my father's business, which was another retail business, where I took on all of the duties of running the business rather than only doing one specific job (like a cashier) which is how their store operates. It has been hard for me to get a job because most employers don't like the fact that my only work experience was working for an immediate family member (or they probably think that since my father would be my only real work reference that they can't trust what he says about my work habits, etc) and the two interviews I had here at BB&B seemed to be the first time anybody took my experience working there seriously. Overall this interview was relaxed and
Interview questions [5]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with an angry customer?
We have a lot of customers coming in preparing for weddings. If you saw two customers who you knew were getting ready to get married, how would you approach them and what would you say?
You are up on a ladder stocking high shelves, when you look down and see a customer looking confused and lost. Just as you are about to go help them, you hear over the loudspeaker (or hand-held walkie talkie) someone calling you to the back office immediately. What would you do (in what order?)

Interview
Hiring process was standard for a retail store, went in, picked up an application, brought it back filled out, had first inquired if they were hiring, then got a call to schedule an interview with the store manager, he asked the usual questions for a retail job position, questions about my application, nothing too difficult, told him i wanted to only be a cashier, didn't want to be stocking shelves, etc.
