I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (Newtown, PA) in Aug 2014
Interview
A brief interview within a day of applying. The interviewer was a senior manager at the store level. They were looking for people that were customer focused, would show up, work hard, and contribute to the success of the store. They asked what days/hours were available, and if you could physically do the work. They were looking for people who would help them satisfy customers.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (Geneva, IL)
Interview
It begins with an on the spot interview when you turn in your application. This is with the lead on duty (LOD). They will most likely decide to schedule a second interview for you with the general manager, and they'll call you back to do this. If the second interview with the general manager goes well, they will check you references and I believe do a background check (no drug testing) and then get back to you within a timely manner- I was told that if I didn't get a call within a few days to call back myself. Both interviews were easy and very typical.
