Tell me more about X. Every question was tailored to my resume. Completely behavioral.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Barclays (Port Louis)
Interview
It took approx 6 months before I got my final offer letter. I went through three rounds before a look & see. The initial offer made to me had one extra Zero and hence I asked them to check if the figures were real. Post meeting up with the Managing Director, I took a final decision to consider the offer but with revised numbers. The post acceptance process was horrible as there were lots of ifs and buts and till the day I reached Mauritius lot of items were grey.My reporting boss had changed and hence there was big pause before we started again. The central bank approval and work permit formalities left me perplexed. On joining date there was nobody to guide me through the infrastructure and I had to make friends to get my work done. However, the hotel room was booked , a car was waiting for me and meetings lined up for the day, which I had no clue about. People were nice and my first impression of team was good.

Question 1
It was not the question but the HR head tried to lure me to the job by letting me know that I shall be taken to the BMW showroom and I can pick up the car of my choice- to me it felt like a bait. Apart from this they asked me how I shall be able to adjust in a different country with different people and beliefs. They also asked me how shall I be able to sail through the crisis situation the Premier Banking was in.
