It was 1 hour round with more focus on skills, experience; specially core java and managerial type questions. Interviewer was more interested in leetcode type problem and solution. It was like some exam, not a two way discussion.

Interview
Typical process yet lengthy. At first, I received a call from a recruiter then moved me to an interview with a hiring manager via Teams/Zoom. Weeks later recruiter called back and offered me the role after lengthy process of interview, background check, back and forth. Then, Recruiter called back a few days later to rescind the offer claiming they had to cut back including herself and other jobs. That's what was claimed at least. I encounter them at a job fair few weeks ago I believe in April 2025 and spoke with a white lady among those at Barclays stand and explained to her the situation on what happened with me. She sympathized and asked my name so she can pull up my application and move it faster, and mind you she didn't even wrote it down or used a phone or laptop or anything. Long story short, I go back home and apply to the position again per her recommendation only to get declined again. Overall, the hiring process is terrible and Barclay's HR is a joke! They don't appreciate quality candidates & have no respect for applicant's time and efforts.

Interview
The interview process was straightforward. The interviewer was understanding of lack of expertise as this was an entry level role. However, the three stages of the interview can be difficult to get through as tests form part of the process.
