Pretty average difficulty. Make sure to know competency based questions and situational based questions. Research a bit about the company and your why you are applying. It’s pre recorded interview
Online tests first can't remember but pretty sure that it was all in one with situation questions, maths and english. Then a video interview in which you respond to pre determined questions. You record your responses and then move onto the next question.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
few questions at the start in which are just general math questions from a data source. Next you was given 10 minutes to review a heap of information and prepare a response on how to improve the financial stability of the company. Then a email from a colleague offering criticism on a report you produced (you have to reply). Then replying via video to a manager who wasn't happy with errors in a team report. Finally some general questions like why barclays etc.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Barclays in Feb 2012
Interview
Initial form was pretty straight forward to fill out, had a slight problem formatting my CV to make it upload properly but not insurmountable issues. Have to say that the best thing was the speed of this process; within a week I was invited to do online tests, then very quickly offered a phone interview and the invite to the AC came the next day - completely brilliant compared to some organisations which drag it out for months. At the AC the assessors and working grads who came down to chat to us were all really friendly and helped to put us as ease; everything you need to prepare for the AC day is put in the pack they send out. As long as you prepare this you'll be fine.
