I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays (Newark, DE) in Feb 2015
Interview
I submitted my resume on career builder than the next day a recruiter called me explained in detail about the position and them told me to email my resume directly to him. I did so and he told me to go on their website to fill out the application for the position. I did what he asked and the next day he called and thanked me and said they wanted me to come in for an interview and asked when would I be available. I told him and he sent an confirmation email with the date, location parking validation. My interview was scheduled a week out so when I finally went in for the interview the manager I spoke to was great. He gave me a little background on the company and went through his list of their questions. The interview was about 45 min. He said someone should be contacting me soon and I thanked him and I left.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Barclays
Interview
I got hired December 3rd and just got a start date of March 16th after hearing March 9th, February 27th and January 12th. They kept saying the classes were full. The interview was pretty short and easy. The background check can take up to two weeks if they have a hard time finding details. They are a little unorganized when it comes to the call center roles. I was called and given the start date March 2nd, 3pm-11pm and they said there was no such class date or schedule and that they have no idea who called. But overall great pay and bonuses.
Interview was rather short. Pretty much went through a string of questions off paper. Nothing too challenging. Traditional Interview basically going through expectations of job function and what you really know about the job.
