I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Bain & Company
Interview
First round of interviews with two Managers. 45 minutes interview: ~10mins for CV and motivation, ~30mins for case, and ~5min for final questions. One of the cases was about banking, the client wanted to growth the bank's assets by 7 times in up to 5 years - we had to advise on which market segment(s) to focus on. The second interview had a few different parts: "brain storming" of costs and benefits of a certain initiative; profitability analysis that required a market sizing; finally, an independent question: "revenues are growing, but profits are declining, and we are not spending more on fixed costs and pay the same for each of the inputs we buy"... (hint: had to say that the product-mix changed, and company had now a product line with worse profit margins). Good experience
