I applied in-person. I interviewed at BDO (Dublín, Dublín)
Interview
The interview should start with the interviewer explaining the structure of the interview. This helps the candidate know what to expect and reduces anxiety.
Next, the interviewer asks questions about the candidate’s background, skills, and experience. These should be open-ended questions that allow the candidate to share their story.
The candidate should answer honestly, providing specific examples wherever possible. It’s important for the candidate to listen carefully to the question, stay on topic, and keep their answers concise
The interview lasted about an hour and included a mix of motivational and job simulation questions. They asked about my skills, previous experiences, and specifically why I chose BDO instead of the Big 4 firms.
The interview process at BDO typically includes an online application, assessment tests, one or more interviews (often behavioral and technical), and may involve case studies or situational exercises to evaluate problem-solving skills.
It was an easy and smooth interview process with friendly interviewer who was knowledgeable. The assessment centre was also a good experience and all the rounds were very clearly explained to us and the group discussion topics were also interesting.
