AstraZeneca Senior/Associate Principal Statistician interview questions

The whole process took about 6 weeks. As mentioned by others here, first was a telephone interview with the hiring manager that lasted 45 minutes. It was about my technical competency and explanation about description of the position. Then a written exercise where I received data to analyse and send it back within 24 hours. I was then invited for an onsite interview that lasted 5 hours: (1) session on presentation on a topic given one week prior followed by question answer session (2) review of the written exercise with questions on the approaches I used and other questions on what I could have done. The questions were mainly related to hypothesis testing (3) Task to analyse a design written by a biologist with one hour preparation. (4) Questions on AZ values The job advert asked for people from zero experience to those with advanced experience with. Further, a candidate needed be competent in one of DoE, linear and non-linear models, Bayesian methods and machine learning. However, the interview favoured one with experience in pharmaceutical industry. I tried to show my competencies in other listed areas but they were not interested and focused on their current challenges. Overall it was a good experience, they were nice especially the hiring manager.
