I applied online. I interviewed at Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project
Interview
Straightforward. Delves into the applicant's experience drawing on specific aspects to see if they are a good fit. The interview lasts around 45 minutes. It includes a language test if any language is required. The test is basically just a casual conversation in said language with the interviewer to gauge proficiency.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project in May 2023
Interview
The ACLED staff member was accompanied by a representative from my school (since the position was funded by my school), which likely contributed to the relaxed nature of the process. I’m not sure if it would have felt different with a panel consisting solely of ACLED staff.

Interview
It was a fairly straight forward process. The communication was clear and timely throughout. The questions were as you would expect for a Head of Marketing role. There were four stages in total. In the final stage, I had to present a marketing plan.
